Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
Explores the important role of the labor movement and other social movements, both in the U.S. and internationally, in the effort to build a low-carbon, sustainable society. The course will examine the various theoretical perspectives on climate protection and sustainable development, with special attention to issues of growth, development, production and consumption, the role of private markets and government intervention, and how these perspectives inform the goals, strategy, and tactics of the different movements involved.
