Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
Topics include consequences of causality and Lorentz invariance in quantum theory, quantization of Klein-Gordon and Dirac fields, perturbation theory, Feynman diagrams, calculation of cross sections and decay rates, and an introduction to radiative corrections and renormalization in Quantum Electrodynamics. At the level of An Introduction to Quantum Field Theory by Peskin and Schroeder.
Permission Note Undergraduates must enroll for letter grade.
