Materials Design Concepts I

Introduces design in the context of real-world materials challenges as explored through reverse engineering. Students examine the materials, design, and cost constraints of a variety of technological products and the solutions commercially implemented. Analytical methods for materials testing and characterization are also introduced as part of the evaluation process.
