Instruction Mode: In Person

Topic Notes: The principal topic is speech recognition and linguistic modeling using the Kaldi and OpenFST toolkits. Additional topics are finite state methods for generative and OT phonology, finite state approximations to syntax, and finite state intensional semantics. Computational projects in teams.
