Course Description
Course information provided by the 2020-2021 Catalog.
Familiarizes students with antimicrobial drugs used in veterinary practice. Builds on fundamental pharmacological and microbiological principles covered in Foundation Courses III and IV and considers antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, and antiviral drugs from the point of view of unique pharmacokinetic properties, indications for clinical use, and potential toxicities as the basis for rational use.Recent cases in the teaching hospital will be used as the basis to discuss drug protocols and potential alternatives.
