AEM 1400

AEM 1400

Course information provided by the 2026-2027 Catalog.

This course introduces students to the use of artificial intelligence in business contexts. Rather than focusing on any single AI tool or platform, the course aims to build a durable understanding of how AI systems work, where they are likely to improve, and where their weaknesses persist. Students will gain hands-on experience applying AI across four functional domains: aesthetic and presentation applications, research and data acquisition, analytical reasoning, and engineering. The course also addresses the security, confidentiality, and ethical implications of AI use in professional settings, including questions of fairness, evidentiary reliability, authorship and attribution, secure handling of data, and AI accountability and oversight.
