Course Description
Course information provided by the 2026-2027 Catalog.
In this advanced course, students will primarily work on immigration matters through the clinic's Path2Papers (P2P) project. Students will work with undocumented persons and those with DACA to identify and pursue employment-based visas and other forms of immigration relief. Students will also manage related community outreach and advocacy projects. Students will take ownership of their cases and projects, working independently or in teams to advance their goals under the instructors’ supervision. Prior P2P casework and projects for advanced clinic students have included consultations with workers and employers focused on employment-based pathways; drafting and filing nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions with USCIS; research and writing on issues affecting undocumented students and workers; developing public-facing resources and regulatory comments; and presenting webinars and trainings for community, employer, and nonprofit partners. This course has a limited enrollment dependent on the clinic's docket. Students may enroll for 2-4 credits with permission of instructors.
